The official announcement of Online Friday 201516/07/2015In July 16, 2015, Vietnam E-Commerce and Information Technology (VECITA) hold the press conference to announce Online Friday 2015.
Online Friday 2015 will be on Friday, December 4, 2015 with new features comparing with Online Friday 2014. This year, the new program includes hot issues in e-commerce as Start-up investment, the construction of confidence of consumers with online purchase, the appliance of e-commerce in mobile platform, digital tourism… Specially, in order to promote e-commerce in mobile platform, improve the benefit of purchasing for consumers and expand opportunities of brand promotion for enterprises, this year will have Autumn Online Shopping Day on Friday August 28, 2015. This will be a highlight in the sequence of events preparing for Online Friday 2015.
The offline events will also be hold with the attendance of electrical appliance enterprises, online supermarkets. Consumers could be able to shopping right at the offline events with many promotions only available at the event. This year, consumers could enjoy not only familiar promotions as free delivery, sell-off, golden hour promotion, gifts…, but also other privileges as cash-back (refund 20% immediately when using payment card), free register for online payment.
Mr. Tran Huu Linh – Director General of VECITA, chief organizer of the program said: “Continuing the success of Online Friday 2014, Online Friday 2015 is hold for the benefit of consumers. We set the target of bringing the high quality promotions including real and deep discount; trustworthy support services with free delivery, and delivery on time; simple and easy payment service with utilities of bank”.
Mr Tran Huu Linh also revealed that, the program this year is well-prepared: Counterparts are the leading technology, payment and delivery enterprises in Vietnam, and website of Online Friday 2015 (at: www.onlinefriday.vn) was designed applying the latest technology to ensure the massive traffic at a time. The system allows consumers to evaluate the promotion, to compare prices of products in website and similar products in the market, and other utilities.
To answer the questions of reporters in the press conference relating to the quality of products in Online Friday 2015, and to the construction of sustainable confidence of consumers in online purchase, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, General Secretary of Vietnam E-Commerce Association (VECOM) said, this is the long-term striving of state management agencies and the result could be seen through the quality, also as the value of online shopping increasing remarkably. Mr Nguyen Thanh Hung affirmed, this year all websites selling products in website Online Friday, must already registered with MOIT to protect the right of consumers and the credibility of enterprises. Besides, the organizer will tightened the requirements with enterprises participating in the program.
Since July 16, enterprises could access www.onlinefriday.vn to register.
In the press conference, the organizer also announced officially the Logo composition contest for Vietnam Online Shopping Day – OnlineFriday.VN to search and honor the contributed and creative ideas of the community and enterprises in designing logo, and official brand identity for the program. The total value of prize worth 50,000,000 vnd, in which, 20,00,000 vnd for the first prize and 10,000,000 vnd for each individual voting prize.
Implementing the National E-Commerce Development Program for the period of 2014 – 2020 (approved by Decision No. 689/QD-TTg in November 5, 2014 of the Prime Minister), MOIT appointed VECITA to cooperate with related agencies to hold the Online Shopping Day of Vietnam (OnlineFriday.VN) in the first Friday of December each year.
