Deputy Minister Tran Tuan Anh had a meeting with the leader of Intel Corporation28/09/2015On September 22nd 2015, Deputy Minister from Ministry of Industry and Trade, Tran Tuan Anh had a meeting with leader of Intel Corporation at the head office of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT). Both sides have shared the content of mutual cooperation, particularly in the field of electronic commerce and information technology.
The representatives from Vietnam such as the leader of Vietnam Electronic Commerce and Information Technology Agency (VECITA) and International Cooperation Department attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh emphasized that the Ministry of Industry and Trade managed many diversified fields and played an important role in the industrialization and modernization of information technology to build e-government in the future.
Deputy Minister Tran Tuan Anh, Ministry of Industry and TradeHe also said that VECITA and Intel Vietnam built and deployed the program “One million smart devices” in order to build ecosystem including smart devices (tablets) running Windows 8 licenses, applications (native app) were developed and installed in accordance with the demands of businesses. According to Deputy Minister, VECITA and Intel Vietnam played an important role among major partners, more experiences in implementing projects of hardware, applications to work together to support e-commerce solutions for businesses and individuals to the ecosystem approach with the lowest cost. The program groups focused on enterprises, small business, retail stores; medical services, hospital; education services and schools; public transport; public administration, etc ...
Also at the meeting, leaders of both sides discussed on the main contents: building and deploying solutions in smart sales management to support e-commerce applications for small and medium enterprises, the application solutions combining hardware and applications to support business; Intel Vietnam and VECITA will implement ”Online shopping day – Online Friday” programs, the annual biggest e-commerce events of Vietnamese Government assigned to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
Intel Vietnam has supported 15 computer sticks. Then, VECITA can do research the virtual desktop solution to enable the use of computer for MOIT officers simple, flexible and reduce licensing costs. This task will be expected to use from early 2016.
The leader of Intel Corporation revealed that in the past few years, Intel had worked with Vietnamese enterprises in terms of technology aiming to produce the products for Vietnam and other countries around the world. In addition, Intel also launched education program widely in Vietnam. In the field of electronic commerce, the leader of Intel Corporation confirmed that he was willing to share the success and experiences of the corporation in the past. Then, Intel leader hoped the support of the program “One million smart devices” will contribute to further strengthen between Intel and MOIT for the overall development.
The meeting was held in an open and constructive atmosphere. Both sides have exchanged the interest content in order to strengthen cooperation and relationships in the long-term period.
